Your role
At Franka Robotics, we empower researchers worldwide to shape the future of embodied AI. We are looking for a Product Strategy Analyst to serve as the analytical engine behind our product organization.
You will partner directly with the product team to actively hunt for the insights that will define the next generation of robots and validate the viability of our product concepts before we build them.
Your experience and qualifications
Your core mission is to minimize business risk and maximize product impact through rigorous analysis.
Strategic Market & Competitive Intelligence
- Market Evaluation: Conduct deep-dive analysis into the global robotics and embodied AI research market (education, academic research, corporate R&D).Quantify Total Addressable Market (TAM), Serviceable Available Market (SAM), and Serviceable Obtainable Market (SOM).
- Competitive Landscape: Go beyond feature comparison. Evaluate competitors’ business models, funding, pricing strategies, and supply chain strengths. Identify where Franka can win.
Commercial Viability & Financial Modeling
- Sales Potential: Build predictive models for unit sales based on market penetration rates and historical data.
- Cost & Margin Analysis: Work with engineering and operations to estimate Bill of Materials (BOM) and operational costs early in the discovery phase. Ensure the "Viability" risk is addressed before development begins.
Go-to-Market (GTM) Strategy
- Launch Strategy: Design data-driven GTM plans. Determine the optimal pricing tiers, sales channels (direct vs. distributor), and regional rollout sequences.
- Positioning & Product Marketing Collaboration: Support Product Marketing activities, for translating market and competitive intelligence into clear positioning and differentiated messaging, thus defining which USPs to emphasize by segment, region, and channel.
Data & Insight Presentation
- Synthesize & Present: Convert complex datasets into clear, narrative-driven presentations for the C-suite and Product Team.
- Product Performance Tracking: Monitor post-launch metrics (acquisition, retention, active usage) to close the feedback loop.
Requirements
- Analytical Rigor: Mastery of financial modeling, unit economics, and forecasting. You must be comfortable telling a story with numbers.
- Robotics/Tech Fluency: You must be able to "speak the language" of our customers (researchers in the fields of e.g., Robotics, AI, Human-Robot Interaction, Automation). You don't need to program the robot, but you must understand the products and the markets.
- Commercial Instinct: An ability to separate "cool technology" from "sellable products."
- Communication: The ability to debate product direction with the Product Team using data.
Experience:
- 3-5+ years of experience in Product Analysis, Management Consulting, or Product Marketing within the Hardware/Robotics/Deep Tech/AI sector.
- Proven track record of defining GTM strategies for high-tech hardware products.
- Experience working in or selling to the academic/research market is a significant plus.
