Tech Lead – IoT and Connected Robotics (m/f/d)

Your role
As a Tech Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing the technological vision and development of 
systems that sync and manage robotic assets via Franka World. Your key duties will include:

• Tech Ownership:
Oversee the technology stack used to update, manage, and sync robots via Franka World, 
ensuring its alignment with requirements (e.g., library updates, security patches).

• Architectural Direction & Vision:
Set the technical direction of our Robotics IoT Cloud Platform for your team, ensuring 
adherence to architecture principles, best practices, and technological excellence. Contribute 
to company-wide architectural discussions and define key system architecture decisions for 
connected robots.
You contribute to the design and implementation of all components from the data collection 
service on the robot to cloud backend components, infrastructure and frontends for 
visualizations, dashboards and our robot management interface.

• Technical Development & Implementation
As part of our agile software development team, you develop the pipeline of our robot data 
analysis and robot management cloud to provide insights into the usage of our robots and 
maintain the installed base with OTA updates, software delivery, rollout strategy etc.

• Cross-Team Synergies:
Collaborate with other Tech Leads to ensure technical alignment, create synergies, and 
maintain continuity across teams working on other connected solutions.

• Mentorship & Leadership:
Act as a senior, hands-on member of the development team, mentoring developers, fostering 
growth, and ensuring the distribution of technical knowledge.
Your experience & qualifications
  • You have a university degree or similar professional education
  • You have at least five years of professional experience with cloud infrastructure and software development.
  • Experience with the development of industrial IoT applications and cloud platform development is a big plus
  • You have a solid understanding of various databases, protocols, infrastructure components, software and system architecture as well as software development tooling.
  • You know how to evolve the technology stack of a big software project in an incremental and sustainable way, pursuing a coherent technical vision.
  • You take responsibility for the communication and documentation of design decisions, architecture and technical debt of the project, and are familiar with the respective tools.
  • Good English skills are necessary, German is a plus
